Black Ankle Wine Dinner:
January 17th, 2011
We are looking forward to hosting a seven-course dinner on February 21, 2011 at 6:30 showcasing Black Ankle Vineyards, producer of award-winning wines that express the rich soil of Mt. Airy, Maryland, and biodynamic principles of owners Ed Boyce and Sarah O'Herron. Add a steer from the 150-acre former grain farm, and it's a celebration of Maryland's bounty.
Farmer's Daughter
July 12th, 2010
There are a few ways to escape the Baltimore summer heat, and we are bringing back one that cools us down every summer, the farmer's daughter. We'd love to shake one up for you, showcasing local watermelon & cucumber tossed with some refreshing mint and organic vodka.
Gearing Up: Building a New Prep Kitchen
May 7th, 2010
At Woodberry Kitchen, we like to raise the bar. One of the ways we are doing that right now, is by installing a new prep kitchen that will allow us to provide more house-made products, which translates to an even more special dining experience for all of you. The construction also includes the bathrooms, so please pardon our "dust", the wait will be worth it.
Oyster Festival...May 2nd
April 19th, 2010
Last Fall we decided it would be fun to have an outdoor festival to showcase the marvelous oysters we serve from the Chesapeake Bay. Since that event was so fun and well recieved, we decided to do it again. Please join us on May 2nd from 3-5 pm in the afternoon outdoors on our patio. We bring in professional shuckers to serve up around 4-5 varieties of oysters. Also offerred will be other preperations of oysters such as fritters, grilled oysters, and soup. Since we understand not everyone thinks as highly of oysters as we do, other local spring snacks will be available. There will be plenty of hand-crafted beers, local wines, and spring cocktails as well as homemade lemonade to drink. In addiiton to the food and libations, we will have live music for everyone to enjoy. We encourage you to bring your children as there is plenty of room for them to run around.
So please join us with our compliments on the second day of May from 3:00-5:00 pm in the afternoon. If the weather decides not to cooperate, our rain date is May 16th. We will post on our homepage of our website if the date gets changed due to rain. Call us if you have any questions.
Our New Website
February 16th, 2010
We are very happy and excited to debut our new website for Woodberry Kitchen. After a lot of thought, trial & error we are proud to say that this site represents our restaurant in every way possible. We look forward to adding new panels in the future as our restaurant grows and evolves. This website is our way to share the food, the people, and the environment that makes up Woodberry Kitchen. We welcome any feedback and pictures from your dining experiences, farm visits, or other inspirations.
